Workshops are an important part of the Roots and Routes project. They are designed to support integration in a direct and personal way. These events bring people together — especially young people — to talk, learn, and grow.
Our workshops focus on the following topics:
Cultural Exchange – Understanding differences and common ground between cultures.
Belonging and Identity – Exploring what it means to live between two or more worlds.
Language and Communication – Building confidence in speaking, writing, and listening across languages.
Understanding Systems – Helping people learn how things work in education, work, or daily life in the Netherlands.
Storytelling as a Tool – Teaching people how to share their story in a powerful and respectful way.
We are planning to run our first workshops in summer. These will take place in partnership with schools, youth centers, or local organizations. The workshops will be small and interactive. Some will be led by me; others may include guest speakers or community leaders.
We will also share updates here — with photos, feedback, and reflections from participants.
Our goal is not only to teach, but also to listen. Every workshop will be a chance to learn what people need and how we can improve the project.
If you are part of a school or community group and would like to host a workshop, please reach out through the contact page. We are happy to collaborate.
